Throughout my undergraduate degree in architecture at the University of Waterloo, topics of circularity, material relationships, and adaptive re-use have captured my design and academic interest. As I move into the next phase of my design career, I am to reapply my design knowledge to a smaller scale, focusing on furniture, interior, and product design.
Deeply influenced by aesthetic relevances in other industries, specifically fashion and graphic design, these fields take hold in the energy of my newer work. Alongside this, my personal style in design has been widely shaped by the different cities throughout Canada and Europe that I have lived in during my undergraduate degree.
My achievements to date in the design field span from academic projects to professional research and competition work. In 2023 I was invited to be a part of the Venice Biennale’s Canadian team; working with Architects Against Housing Alienation (AAHA!) on research projects aimed at tackling the housing crisis in Canada. From there I secured a research position and have since been invited to present our work at various conferences and community events alongside my other team members. More recently, I have worked in Denmark as a Junior Landscape Architect, and am currently working as an Architectural Assistant in western Canada.
After my undergraduate degree finishes this summer, I plan to move back to Denmark to attend furniture and product design school. I am looking forward to continue a career in design through a smaller and more intimate scale. Please enjoy this collection of my work!
