Exploratory Work, Den Skandinaviske Designhøjskole

2025

The toolbox (or værktøjskasse in Danish), is a highly practical part of any workshop or construction environment, but also something that remains very standardized in its design language. Tasked to create a toolbox for ourselves, I wanted to explore a project that prioritized its connection to myself and my own expression—bringing life and organic form into a highly utilitarian object.

The tools hang from the bottom of the horn, attached by small leather loops. Flowers come from the top, mirroring the splayed pattern of the tools opposite them. The horn curves around to create a handle while also giving it space to hang from a table.
